Description

This subject introduces students to the major structural and functional components of healthcare systems, both in Australia and overseas. Key arrangements, stakeholders, processes and performance and trends in health system reform are actively explored. Students develop the ability to critically evaluate health systems, skills to identify and prioritise health system needs and identify and plan strategies that address major challenges. This subject provides a foundation for students to influence health system improvement, from an informed position, in health organisations.
