6cp; block; availability: all courses
There are course requisites for this subject. See access conditions.

Energy policy analysis requires formulation and evaluation of impacts of alternative energy policy options. These tasks are facilitated by developing comprehensive energy models which capture the complexities of energy systems arising primarily from their interrelationships with the economy. This subject develops students' understanding of the macroeconomic principles required for energy modelling and policy analysis. It covers models and modelling; macroeconomic settings of energy–economy modelling; energy balances; energy input–output analysis; energy aggregating; energy system modelling; and modelling of energy–economy interactions.
