Fields of practice: Data Engineering program

This is the second subject of the 'professional studio'. It allows students to continue developing professional skills in data engineering relating to their chosen career path. The studio is delivered through a combination of individual self-directed study and project work. In the 'professional studio', students can choose whether they wish to specialise in innovation/entrepreneurship, research, or advanced practice, and develop data engineering knowledge and skills relating to their chosen path. Students work with mentors and facilitators throughout the session, and the individual tasks to be completed are guided by a learning contract established at the beginning of the studio.

Students work with students in 41088 Data Engineering Studio 3A, i.e. there is one 'professional studio' class with both junior and senior students working together. Roles within the studio reflect this, and students in this subject are expected to provide some mentoring to students entering the 'professional studio' for the first time.
