In this subject, students develop the academic written and spoken language skills necessary for their further studies in computing science. Students learn critical and analytical skills for reading the academic literature in computing science and understand the lifecycle of academic communication in computing. They work individually and in teams on a computing science project, for example, replicating or checking a simple result from a computing paper, and then communicate that result orally and in written form. The subject also explores ethical and social issues in computing.
