Information Technology Professional Practice
This subject supports students while they are working in industry or the community for the purpose of gaining experience in the practice of Information Technology (IT). It provides students with the opportunity to discover workplace culture and develop basic technical skills related to IT professional experience.
Because each individual student's work experience is different and IT is very diverse, employer or host organisations are not expected to provide formal training (although some may choose to do so). Students are required to become active learners and seek opportunities to fulfill the objectives of this experience module. It is expected that students gain this level of experience early in their academic program. This subject provides some tools to support this learning.
