27763 Cultural and Creative Industries Policy

In this subject, students examine national, state, industry, local and organisational policy frameworks relating to cultural and creative industries. The subject is divided into three segments. In the first segment, students are introduced to the politics of policy and undertake policy analysis in a creative industry area of their choice. The second segment involves policy evaluation, whereby students collect data on a series of case studies to critically evaluate their chosen policy. The third segment requires students to collaboratively re/design evidence-based policy in response to a current and ongoing issue in the creative industries.
