Description

This subject provides an overview of the events sector, along with the functions, impacts and legacies that events have from the perspective of various groups and organisations within society. Additionally, it examines the various external environments that impact upon, or are impacted by, various types of festivals and events. Key tools that can be employed in assessing event impacts and legacies are examined, with best practice models identified. Issues associated with the evaluation of event impacts and legacies are examined, often through the vehicle of case studies. Students work in teams to complete a research project pertaining to event evaluation, impacts and legacies.
