25772 Introduction to Financial Planning

This subject provides a comprehensive introduction to financial planning. After describing the current regulatory environment in Australia the subject analyses the financial planning value chain, highlighting the role of the different stakeholders, their objectives and the possible conflicts of interests. The subject then analyses the financial planning process and the main activities involved in the development, delivery and successive monitoring of the financial plan. Finally the subject explores the nature of the relationship between financial planner and client and the role of interpersonal communication skills.
