There are course requisites for this subject. See access conditions.

Ensuring the productivity and performance of staff is arguably the most important function of human resource management (HRM). This subject engages students in a critical examination of the role and nature of performance and talent management systems in contemporary organisations. Through an exploration of theories and empirical evidence, the management foundations underpinning employee performance are analysed and the sources of performance enablers are identified. Additionally, students cultivate a set of applied management skills related to, and a critical understanding of, performance appraisals, performance-oriented management practices and talent management operations.
