This subject introduces students to financial and project management issues arising out of architectural practice. The course emphasises the key role of negotiation and strategic planning. Financial management of projects is considered from the fee proposal and documentation phase through to establishment of building contracts and construction administration. New forms of procurement and contracting methods are considered, alongside the strategic establishment of alliances with specialty consultants, clients, developers and builders.
