013995 The Innovative Teacher: An Introduction to Future-focused Learning Design

This subject is part two of a futures-focused approach designed to equip participants to employ innovative and engaging practice. Students who study this subject plan and experiment with learning design, which is fundamental to good teaching practice. Students have opportunities to develop skills that enable them to research, design, implement and measure the outcomes of innovative practice by using the problem-focused approaches of improvement science. The approach is inquiry-based where students collaborate and share with peers and engage in critical dialogue with experienced teachers. Delivery is multi-modal across university and school campuses. While students would benefit from the learning of 013994 Teacher as Innovator: Planning and Prototyping Future-focused Learning Design, this subject may also be studied as a standalone unit.
