Consequently, many business leaders emphasise the need for business managers to understand the economy and its impact on business. The subjects in this sub-major provide students with the professional skills, knowledge and understanding of the economic environment within which business operates.
It is recommended that 23508 Quantitative Methods in Economics and Business be completed before 23509 Empirical Methods for Policy Evaluation and 23507 Time Series Econometrics.
Students undertaking the Econometrics sub-major with one of the following majors will need to substitute an alternative subject:
- MAJ09209 Economics students must substitute an alternative subject from the MAJ09209 option list in place of 23571 Introductory Econometrics,
- MAJ09402 Extended Economics students must substitute an alternative subject from the MAJ09402 option list in place of 23571 Introductory Econometrics.
