SMJ08137 Advertising

The Advertising sub-major provides students with an introduction to the area of advertising and promotions management, focusing on customer behaviour and management of marketing communications activities.

Students in the Bachelor of Economics (C10348) must have completed 24109 Marketing and Customer Value as a prerequisite for this sub-major (chosen as an elective in CBK91078 or CBK92241).

Students undertaking the Advertising sub-major with the following sub-majors will need to substitute alternative subjects or select additional options:

  • SMJ10086 Business Analytics in Marketing students must substitute an alternative Marketing subject from MAJ08981 Advertising and Marketing Communications major in SMJ08137 Advertising
  • SMJ08138 Marketing students must substitute alternative subjects from the SMJ08138 option list in place of 24202 Consumer Behaviour and 24309 Marketing Research
