Information for students
The Connected Intelligence Centre (CIC) is a world-class learning analytics research lab. CIC's research and scholarship, internal and external courses, and employer/partner engagement spark critical conversations around data literacy, ethical analytics, disciplinary implications and systemic approaches to analytics.
The CIC is located at the UTS City campus.

Students are required to complete 96 credit points for the Master of Data Science and Innovation comprising 48 credit points of core subjects, 24 credit points of innovation labs and 32 credit points of electives. Electives can be selected from an approved list or self-selected from across UTS offerings in consultation with the course coordinator.
The Master of Data Science and Innovation has been designed as a transdisciplinary offering and all UTS faculties have been involved in the design of the subjects, so even the core subjects are explored from a variety of perspectives. Electives can be selected from any of the UTS faculties, in consultation with the course coordinator.
